A retail pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead their Binghamton, NY location in a full-time, direct hire position. This role involves overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving business growth, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. The schedule includes variable day and afternoon shifts with approximately 62 hours bi-weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster collaboration with the store operations team and engage pharmacy associates by communicating department and company strategies effectively.
  • Ensure prescription accuracy and appropriateness through thorough Drug Utilization Review and final quality assurance in accordance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Manage the department’s profitability and script growth by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Control inventory by tracking sales, ordering stock to meet demand, and maximizing profits in partnership with the District Manager.
  • Align pharmacy performance objectives with key measurable department metrics to drive operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide expert customer service by assisting with medical inquiries and healthcare counseling.
  • Supervise pharmacists and support staff, leading training, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and resolve customer issues to enhance trust and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with physicians and use reference materials to address prescription-related questions.
  • Keep the pharmacy organized and clean while focusing on continuous staff development to improve performance and reduce turnover.
  • Prioritize and complete pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls on schedule.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
  • Valid New York State Pharmacist License
