A full-time Pharmacy Manager position is available at a retail pharmacy location in Sunbury, PA. This direct hire opportunity offers a variable schedule covering day and afternoon shifts, with an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative partnership with the store operations team, driving associate engagement and communicating business strategies to pharmacy staff.
- Ensure all prescriptions are accurately dispensed by performing Drug Utilization Reviews and final quality assurance checks, complying with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Manage the pharmacy department to maximize profitability and prescription growth via clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Collaborate with district management and staff on inventory control by monitoring sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock as needed.
- Align department objectives with key performance metrics to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing medical inquiries and offering healthcare counseling.
- Supervise, train, and coach pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, managing performance and discipline.
- Maintain pharmacy security and handle customer concerns to build trust and loyalty.
- Liaise with physicians and use reference materials to resolve prescription-related issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and continually develop staff to improve performance, reduce turnover, and control labor costs.
- Prioritize and oversee department tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
