An opportunity is available to serve as an Interim Pharmacy Manager at a small, community hospital in Southern California. This role will oversee pharmacy operations in a 100-bed facility with an average daily census of 45 patients. The position requires immediate availability with a contract duration of approximately 13 weeks or more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the hospital pharmacy.
- Manage pharmacy personnel, ensuring optimal workflow and staff productivity.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and oversee budgetary considerations.
- Utilize IT systems including Cerner and Pyxis to support pharmacy operations.
- Support and maintain the 340B outpatient pharmacy program.
- Lead the pharmacy department through an upcoming accreditation transition from DNV to The Joint Commission (TJC).
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, daytime shifts.
- Potential to explore a four 10-hour day workweek.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active California Pharmacist license.
- Proven management experience within a hospital pharmacy setting.
