Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Calexico, California

An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee operations at a small, community hospital in Southern California. This hospital serves an average daily census of 45 patients within a 100-bed facility, providing a dynamic environment for pharmacy management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with full accountability for pharmacy operations
• Provide oversight and leadership to a dedicated pharmacy team of 19 FTEs
• Manage workflow, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain budgetary control
• Oversee use of Cerner and Pyxis IT systems to support pharmacy functions
• Support the 340B outpatient pharmacy program
• Navigate the transition from DNV to The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist license is required
• Proven pharmacy management experience, ideally within hospital settings
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage diverse staff
• Resilience and excellent interpersonal skills to handle challenging situations professionally
• Willingness to hold PIC responsibilities and commit to the assigned schedule

Location: Southern California community hospital in Calexico, CA

Schedule: Monday through Friday, primarily day shifts with potential for 4-10 hour day options
