Retail Pharmacy Manager in Canton, NY

A retail pharmacy operation is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager for an immediate opening at their Ogdensburg, NY location. This contract position offers an opportunity to lead pharmacy services with a focus on compliance, financial management, and patient care.

Location: Ogdensburg, NY
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed on Sundays

Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
• Ensure the pharmacy complies with federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
• Manage all pharmacy operations, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration to achieve financial goals.
• Lead business development initiatives within the store and local community.
• Oversee pharmacy support staff performance, training, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Promote patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management, and wellness programs.
• Provide counseling to patients and healthcare providers regarding medications, usage, interactions, and side effects.
• Maintain continuous quality improvement programs to safeguard patient safety.
• Keep workstations and department facilities organized, clean, and compliant with company standards.
• Complete mandatory continuing education and any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State pharmacist license required.
• Immunization certification is required, with confidence in administering all vaccines.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred.
