Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Canton, New York

Lead the pharmacy operations at a retail location seeking an experienced professional to serve as Pharmacy Manager, offering either an interim assignment of 3-6 months or a permanent opportunity.

Location: Ogdensburg, NY
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Register and maintain status as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge in accordance with the state board of pharmacy requirements.
• Uphold compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies to ensure the pharmacy operates within legal and quality standards.
• Oversee all pharmacy operations including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, third-party administration, and inventory to achieve financial goals and efficiency.
• Engage in business development efforts within the store and local community to enhance pharmacy services.
• Manage pharmacy support personnel, conducting performance reviews, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company standards.
• Lead training initiatives and ensure all pharmacy staff complete required company training.
• Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, safety, and effectiveness to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities to promote patient safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
• Complete continuing education requirements to maintain licensure and professional competency.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid New York State Pharmacy License required.
• Immunization Certification is mandatory; must be comfortable administering all types of vaccines.
• Recent experience in a Pharmacy Manager role is preferred.
