A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for an Interim or permanent Pharmacy Manager in the Ogdensburg, NY area. This role offers a dynamic environment where you will oversee all operations of the pharmacy department while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Flexible contract terms of 3 to 6 months are available for interim candidates, providing a chance to demonstrate leadership and make a tangible impact on the community’s health.

Location: Ogdensburg, NY
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Sundays: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations to meet financial goals, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Manage pharmacy support staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all pharmacy associates complete mandatory training and comply with policies.
  • Engage in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medications, dosages, interactions, and side effects.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
  • Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives to promote patient safety.
  • Fulfill continuing education requirements in accordance with state law.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Pharmacy License.
  • Immunization Certification with proficiency in administering all vaccines (mandatory).
  • Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred to drive operational success.
