An interim Pharmacist-in-Charge/Director of Pharmacy position is available at a small, 25-bed critical access hospital located in rural Northern California. This contract opportunity offers approximately 13 weeks of work, with a start date as soon as possible.
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour day shifts per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily pharmacy operations with a focus on order verification and supervision of pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert pharmaceutical consultations
- Perform pharmacokinetic evaluations and other clinical pharmacy services as needed
- Oversee staffing, covering approximately 90% of duties, with administrative responsibilities comprising the remaining 10%
Qualifications:
- Active California Pharmacist license required
- Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting is essential
- Proven skills in pharmacy management and clinical consultation
