Inpatient Pharmacy Manager in Clovis, CA

A nationally recognized pediatric hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead their inpatient pharmacy department. This department emphasizes evidence-based therapeutic guidelines to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care, working closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in a technologically advanced setting.

Responsibilities include assisting the Director of Pharmacy with strategic development, daily pharmacy operations oversight, collaboration with medical and hospital staff, medication dispensing, drug consultations, and staff management across ambulatory and IT pharmacy services. The role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, quality assurance measures, and productivity standards. It also involves active participation in pharmacy committees, projects related to IT, automation, bedside scanning, barcoding, charge master, data collection, and operational efficiencies. Oversight of clinical pharmacists and support for pharmaceutical care implementation are key aspects.

Qualified candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a current California Registered Pharmacist license. Preference is given to those with a Master’s degree in public health, business administration, or a related field, and completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of pediatric pharmacy experience, with five years demonstrating proficiency preferred. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association is also required within 30 days of hire. Experience working with EPIC EMR is beneficial.
