A full-time Infusion Pharmacist opportunity is available within a growing pharmacy team, focusing on high-touch patient care and pharmacy production. This direct hire role offers a professional setting where clinical pharmacy services relate to chronic and traditional acute infusion therapies. The pharmacist plays a vital role in a collaborative, team-based environment to enhance patient care and overall customer service.
Location:
- Area near Columbus, OH (exact location disclosed during candidate vetting)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Flexibility with schedule is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Compound, dispense, and monitor clinical therapies prescribed by authorized medical personnel
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain regulatory and operational standards
- Collaborate with nursing, admissions, reimbursement, sales, and marketing teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Orient and train new staff and potentially serve as a preceptor for pharmacy interns
- Support clinical activities related to sales, marketing, procurement, and inventory control
- Assist in insurance authorization and documentation in collaboration with the reimbursement team
- Participate in pharmacy on-call rotation for uninterrupted customer support
- Maintain accurate clinical records with adherence to USP 797 and USP 800 standards, along with State Board of Pharmacy regulations
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Prior experience in an infusion pharmacy setting strongly preferred
- Specialty pharmacy experience will also be considered
- Licensed pharmacist with current credentials
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing pharmacy teams
