A well-established retail pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at their Oneonta, NY location. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with strong leadership skills and a commitment to patient-centered care. The position is contract-based with options for interim or permanent placement, offering a dynamic environment to manage pharmacy functions and contribute to community health initiatives.

Location:

  • Oneonta, NY

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist-in-charge.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee all pharmacy department operations to meet financial goals, including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Lead business development efforts within the store and broader community.
  • Manage and evaluate pharmacy support staff performance.
  • Provide training and enforce adherence to regulatory and company policies for pharmacy associates.
  • Ensure completion of all mandatory company training programs by staff.
  • Participate in patient services such as immunizations, MTM, and wellness programs.
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, interactions, and side effects, promoting adherence and optimal therapy outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment consistent with legal and company standards.
  • Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Current NY Pharmacy License
  • Immunization Certification and comfortable administering all vaccines (required)
  • Recent Pharmacy Manager experience preferred
