Retail Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Cooperstown, New York

An established retail pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations at their location in Oneonta, NY. This contract opportunity offers a leadership role ensuring compliance, managing personnel, and delivering patient-centered care in a community-focused environment.

Location: Oneonta, NY
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays
  Job Type: Contract (interim or permanent options available)

Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee pharmacy operations, including budget management, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration to meet financial goals.
• Lead and manage pharmacy support personnel, conduct performance reviews, and provide staff training and accountability.
• Facilitate business development initiatives within the store and community.
• Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on drug use, interactions, side effects, and therapy compliance.
• Maintain quality improvement programs focused on patient safety and regulatory adherence.
• Keep the pharmacy environment clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
• Complete continuing education as mandated by state law.
• Perform other pharmacy duties as assigned by management.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid NY pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification and ability to administer all required vaccines.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred.
