Retail Pharmacy Manager - Cooperstown, NY

A Pharmacy Manager is sought for a well-established retail pharmacy located in Oneonta, NY. This position offers an excellent opportunity to take charge of pharmacy operations in a dynamic environment focused on patient care and business growth. Both interim and permanent placements are available, with relocation assistance offered for permanent candidates.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
• Sundays: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.
• Oversee all pharmacy operations, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory management, and third-party administration to maintain financial health.
• Lead and manage pharmacy staff, including performance evaluations and training.
• Maintain accountability for regulatory and company policy adherence by pharmacy associates.
• Participate in community and business development activities.
• Implement patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers about medication use, interactions, and side effects.
• Monitor patient progress and compliance to optimize therapy outcomes.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy workspace in accordance with company and legal standards.
• Complete required continuing education programs.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Pharmacist License
• Immunization Certification with confidence in administering all routine vaccines (required)
• Previous Pharmacy Manager experience preferred
