Lead the pharmacy operations at a well-established retail location, overseeing all aspects of pharmacy management to ensure compliance, efficiency, and superior patient care. This role offers an opportunity to take charge of the pharmacy department’s financial and operational goals while providing essential healthcare services within the community.

Location: Oneonta, NY
Job Type: Contract (Interim or Permanent)
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 7 PM
  • Saturday: 9 AM – 3 PM
  • Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
  • Maintain pharmacy compliance with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee the pharmacy’s operation including budget management, payroll, scheduling, third-party administration, and inventory control.
  • Lead business development initiatives within the store and community.
  • Manage pharmacy support staff performance and conduct regular reviews.
  • Provide guidance, training, and accountability for pharmacy associates ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure completion of mandatory company training for all pharmacy personnel.
  • Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, interactions, side effects, and monitor patient progress.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement programs focused on patient safety.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and compliant work and department areas.
  • Fulfill continuing education requirements mandated by state law.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Active New York State pharmacist license.
  • Immunization certification with comfort and proficiency administering all vaccines.
  • Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred.
