Pharmacy Manager in Cooperstown, NY

A pharmacy management opportunity is available at a retail facility in Oneonta, NY. This position is offered on either an interim or permanent basis with a schedule structured to ensure thorough pharmacy oversight throughout the week:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Responsibilities include full accountability for the pharmacy’s operations and compliance. This entails registering as the supervising pharmacist with the state board, maintaining adherence to all federal, state, and company regulations, managing budgets, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory to support financial targets. The role also requires leading pharmacy staff through training, performance evaluation, and ensuring all associates complete required company training.

Additionally, the pharmacy manager will engage in business development efforts, participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs. Clinical responsibilities include counseling patients and providers on medication use and monitoring health outcomes to optimize therapy. Maintaining a clean, organized workspace and department facilities consistent with legal and company standards is essential. The role involves continuous quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and completing continuing education as mandated by state law.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Active New York State Pharmacy License
• Immunization Certification with proficiency in administering all vaccines (required)
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred
