Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Cooperstown, New York

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager to lead and oversee the pharmacy operations at a retail pharmacy location in Oneonta, NY. This role requires a dedicated professional who is committed to excellent patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Ensure the pharmacy complies with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Manage the entire pharmacy department’s operations to meet financial targets, including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory.
• Drive business development within the store and the broader community.
• Supervise and manage pharmacy support personnel, including performance reviews and training.
• Guide and hold pharmacy associates accountable for adherence to regulatory and company standards and ensure all required training is completed.
• Participate actively in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and medical providers on medication use, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects, and monitor patient progress to optimize therapy outcomes.
• Maintain continuous quality improvement programs to enhance patient safety.
• Apply professional judgment to deliver exemplary pharmacy services.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and pharmacy facility in accordance with legal and company standards.
• Complete continuing education as required by state law.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in New York State (required).
• Immunization certification with the ability to administer all vaccines (required).
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred.
