This leadership position offers the opportunity to oversee and advance the operations of an infusion pharmacy, emphasizing a strong commitment to staff training and patient safety. You will lead a team of pharmacists and technicians in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care while ensuring strict compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily pharmacy operations, including workflow delegation and coordination
- Manage and train pharmacy staff, focusing on comprehensive orientation and ongoing development
- Address daily issues with referral sources and internal teams promptly and effectively
- Implement and track quarterly and annual department goals to drive continuous improvement
- Provide pharmaceutical care, including patient counseling, prescription review, and dispensing
- Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations, holding staff accountable
- Collaborate with or supervise logistics personnel to maintain proper storage and handling of drug products and ancillary supplies
- Lead Human Resources initiatives, conduct annual employee evaluations, and deliver structured feedback
- Develop and monitor team goals aligned with organizational values and objectives
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven management experience in pharmacy settings, particularly infusion pharmacy or infusion management
- Strong background in training and orienting pharmacy staff
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacy regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Familiarity with CPR+/CareTend pharmacy systems
- Active pharmacist license in the relevant state
Location: Primarily based in Decatur, GA, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., plus schedule flexibility with administrative on-call duties.
