Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Dekalb, Illinois

This leadership role offers an opportunity to oversee pharmacy operations across multiple sites within a healthcare system, driving financial performance, quality assurance, and operational excellence. The position requires partnering with pharmacy leadership to develop strategies, policies, and procedures that ensure efficient and compliant pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct pharmacy operations for assigned regional sites, managing financial, operational, and quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy on hospital pharmacy procedure planning and implementation.
• Work closely with system pharmacy leadership in operational planning, budgeting, and problem-solving efforts.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with medical staff and hospital departments to support patient care initiatives.
• Support the advancement of pharmacy information systems and inventory management processes.
• Participate in critical committees including Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Safety, Medication Safety, and Nursing/Pharmacy collaborations.
• Oversee human resources activities including staff hiring, performance evaluations, professional development, and employee engagement.
• Monitor productivity metrics, budget adherence, and patient outcomes to meet organizational goals.
• Fulfill all standard pharmacy manager responsibilities, along with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory or management experience in pharmacy.
• Active Illinois Pharmacist license is required.

Schedule: Monday through Friday with 24/7 accountability
