Retail Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Delhi, New York

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at a community pharmacy location in Oneonta, NY. This role is open for both interim and permanent positions, offering a rewarding leadership experience within a well-established retail pharmacy setting.

Location: Oneonta, NY
Type: Contract (Interim or Permanent)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with all applicable federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including budget management, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory control to meet financial objectives.
• Drive business development initiatives within the store and the local community.
• Manage pharmacy support staff, including performance evaluations and training, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company guidelines.
• Facilitate ongoing education and training completion for all pharmacy personnel.
• Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Provide counseling to patients and healthcare providers regarding medication management, including dosage, interactions, and side effects.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement activities to ensure patient safety and service excellence.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with company and legal standards.
• Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Pharmacy License
• Immunization Certification with comfort administering all vaccines (required)
• Recent experience managing a pharmacy is preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
