A Pharmacy Manager position is available in Oneonta, NY, offering an opportunity for either an interim or permanent placement. This role requires a self-driven professional skilled in managing pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
Key Responsibilities:
- Register with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee pharmacy operations including financial goals, budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Engage in business development within the store and local community.
- Manage pharmacy support personnel, including performance reviews and training.
- Ensure all pharmacy associates complete required company training and adhere to regulatory policies.
- Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs.
- Counsel patients and healthcare providers on drug usage, interactions, side effects, and therapy management.
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives for patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and department.
- Fulfill continuing education requirements and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Pharmacy License.
- Immunization Certification with comfort administering all vaccines (required).
- Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred.
