A full-time Pharmacy Manager position is available in a retail setting located in Binghamton, NY. This direct hire opportunity offers a variable day and afternoon shift schedule, averaging 62 hours bi-weekly, with an immediate start date.
Responsibilities include maintaining strong collaboration with the store operations team, driving associate engagement, and communicating pharmacy department strategies effectively. The Pharmacy Manager ensures accuracy and compliance by overseeing drug utilization reviews and final quality assurance according to state and federal pharmacy regulations. This role involves managing the pharmacy business to promote profitability and script growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM), coordinating with the District Manager and staff for inventory control and sales tracking.
The Pharmacy Manager aligns departmental objectives with key performance metrics and delivers excellent customer service through healthcare counseling. Supervisory duties include overseeing pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff; conducting training, coaching, and disciplinary actions; and maintaining pharmacy security. This role also handles customer concerns, liaises with physicians, manages department upkeep, and prioritizes tasks including inventory management and will-call follow-ups. Continuous development of personnel and cost control are integral parts of this position.
Qualifications or Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
- Current New York State Pharmacist License
- Experience in retail pharmacy management preferred
