A retail pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily operations and lead the pharmacy team at their location in Binghamton, NY. This role focuses on service excellence, regulatory compliance, and business growth. The Pharmacy Manager will work closely with store leadership and pharmacy staff to drive prescription volume, implement clinical programs, and ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong collaboration with store operations and communicate company strategy to pharmacy associates.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in prescription filling, including Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance under state and federal regulations.
  • Lead efforts to grow the business by promoting immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and other clinical programs.
  • Manage inventory control by tracking sales and ordering stock to meet customer needs and maximize profits.
  • Align department performance with key measurable metrics to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide expert customer service by addressing medical-related inquiries and offering healthcare counseling.
  • Supervise, train, and coach pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including handling discipline and development.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and uphold organizational policies.
  • Resolve customer issues to build trust and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with physicians and use reference materials to resolve prescription-related questions.
  • Oversee maintenance and organization of the pharmacy workspace.
  • Prioritize and complete tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Current New York State pharmacist license.
  • Proven leadership in a retail pharmacy setting.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and clinical services.

Schedule: Variable day and afternoon shifts totaling approximately 62 hours bi-weekly.
