Supervising Pharmacist - Fredericksburg, Virginia

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee an Outpatient Infusion Pharmacy within a cancer center setting. This contract-to-hire position is based in Fredericksburg, VA, and offers the chance to manage and staff a dedicated team in a well-established acute care hospital environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call or weekend coverage required

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the Outpatient Infusion Pharmacy
• Provide direct staffing support alongside managing pharmacy staff
• Supervise 2-3 pharmacists and 3 pharmacy technicians
• Ensure safe and accurate IV compounding and chemotherapy preparation
• Utilize hospital pharmacy systems including Epic and Pyxis

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia
• Proven experience in IV compounding and chemotherapy medication management
• Ability to lead and support pharmacy staff effectively
• Familiarity with Epic pharmacy information system and Pyxis automation technology
• Experience with 340b program is not required

This role involves working in a 380-bed acute care hospital with an average daily census of 350 patients and 44 infusion chairs.
