Inpatient Pharmacy Manager in Fresno, CA

A nationally recognized pediatric hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead and support the inpatient pharmacy department. This direct hire position is available for immediate start and involves overseeing daily pharmacy operations while working closely with medical and hospital staff to ensure exceptional pharmaceutical care and patient safety.

The inpatient pharmacy integrates evidence-based therapeutic guidelines and state-of-the-art technology to deliver optimal outcomes in various specialized units including Rehab, PICU, NICU, Acute Care, and Oncology. The manager will be responsible for dispensing medications, managing pharmacy staff, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Key duties include directing pharmacy projects related to IT, automation, bedside scanning, and operational efficiencies, as well as maintaining professional growth through committee participation and scholarly activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Pharmacy with departmental goals and operations
• Collaborate with medical and hospital staff in alignment with organizational values
• Manage staff including ambulatory and IT pharmacists
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality assurance
• Oversee pharmacy-related projects and data reporting
• Support pharmaceutical care implementation and supervision

Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree (required)
• Master's degree in public health, business, or related field (preferred)
• ASHP Accredited Residency Program (preferred)
• Registered Pharmacist license with California State Board of Pharmacy (required)
• Basic Life Support certification by AHA within 30 days of hire (required)
• Minimum 3 years pediatrics-related experience (required)
• Minimum 5 years demonstrating proficiency in required skills (preferred)

Additional Information:

• Primarily day shift with variable hours based on business needs
• Work schedule: five 8-hour shifts per week
• EMR system experience: EPIC
• CA pharmacist license must be current and in-hand
