Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Fresno, California

This opportunity seeks a Pharmacy Manager to support the Director of Pharmacy in overseeing daily operations and advancing departmental goals within a hospital setting. The role requires collaboration with medical and hospital staff to uphold organizational values while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory standards. You will oversee medication dispensing, staff management—including ambulatory and IT pharmacists—and contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the development and implementation of pharmacy department objectives
• Managing pharmacists and pharmacy projects such as automation, bedside scanning, bar coding, and data reporting
• Providing drug consultations and ensuring the provision of pharmaceutical care
• Participating in professional committees and representing the department in various capacities

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree (required)
• Master’s degree in public health, business administration, or equivalent (preferred)
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program (preferred)
• Active California Registered Pharmacist (RPH) license (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire (required)
• Minimum 3 years of pediatric pharmacy experience (required)
• At least 5 years demonstrating proficiency aligned with the position (preferred)

Additional information:

• Work schedule primarily consists of 5 eight-hour day shifts with some variation based on operational needs
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system is essential
