Retail Pharmacy Manager in Hammond, NY

An established retail pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily operations at their Ogdensburg, NY location. This role offers an opportunity for either a permanent placement or an interim assignment lasting 3 to 6 months, providing flexibility for the right candidate.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the supervising pharmacist, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations and company policies.
• Manage overall pharmacy operations, including budget, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration to achieve financial objectives.
• Oversee pharmacy staff performance, training, and accountability, ensuring completion of all mandatory company training.
• Support patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management, and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medications, dosages, interactions, side effects, and monitor treatment efficacy.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace adhering to company and legal standards.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure patient safety.
• Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid New York State Pharmacy License
• Immunization Certification with confidence in administering all types of vaccines
• Recent experience in a Pharmacy Manager role preferred
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
