Retail Pharmacy Manager in Hammond, NY

A leading retail pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager for their Ogdensburg, NY location, available for either a permanent role or an interim assignment of 3-6 months. This position offers the opportunity to lead pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulations while driving financial and service excellence.

Location: Ogdensburg, NY
Type: Contract (Interim or Permanent)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board as Supervising Pharmacist or Pharmacist in Charge.
• Ensure the pharmacy complies with all federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
• Oversee all pharmacy operations including budget management, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and manage pharmacy staff, including performance reviews, training, and accountability.
• Engage in community and business development activities to promote pharmacy services.
• Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Provide expert counseling to patients and medical providers on medications, dosages, interactions, and side effects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and legally compliant pharmacy environment.
• Complete all required continuing education and company training programs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid New York pharmacist license (NY license required).
• Current Immunization Certification and confidence administering all vaccines.
• Recent experience in a Pharmacy Manager role preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with a commitment to quality and patient safety.
