A retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead and grow its pharmacy department in Hazleton, PA. This full-time, direct hire role offers a dynamic schedule with variable day and afternoon shifts and requires 69 hours bi-weekly, typically consisting of 10- to 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong collaborative relationships with store operations to drive associate engagement and effectively communicate department strategy.
  • Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
  • Lead business growth by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) to increase script volume and profitability.
  • Oversee inventory management by coordinating with the District Manager, monitoring weekly sales, and ordering pharmaceutical stock.
  • Align departmental performance with key metrics to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing medical inquiries and healthcare counseling.
  • Supervise and manage pharmacists and pharmacy associates, including training, coaching, and discipline.
  • Ensure pharmacy security and maintain a clean, organized environment.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally to build trust and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with physicians and use reference materials to resolve prescription-related issues.
  • Prioritize daily pharmacy tasks to ensure timely completion, including inventory counts and will-call management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
