Retail Supervising Pharmacist | Heuvelton, New York

A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager dedicated to overseeing smooth operations and ensuring excellent patient care in a retail setting. This contract position offers the possibility of interim management for 3-6 months, with flexibility for permanent placement for the right candidate.

Location:

• Ogdensburg, NY

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the supervising pharmacist, maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations.
• Oversee the overall pharmacy operation, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory management, and third-party administration to ensure financial viability.
• Manage pharmacy staff through training, performance evaluations, and enforcing adherence to company policies.
• Lead patient-centered services such as immunization programs, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness initiatives.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions to optimize therapy outcomes.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment consistent with legal and company standards.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs and complete required continuing education.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current New York State pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification and confidence in administering all vaccines.
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
