A retail pharmacy manager position is available in Altoona, PA, within a well-established grocery store pharmacy setting. This full-time direct hire role offers approximately 36 hours per week with variable day and afternoon shifts. The position requires an experienced leader to oversee pharmacy operations and deliver outstanding customer service while driving business growth.

Responsibilities include maintaining strong collaboration with the store operations team and pharmacy staff, ensuring prescription accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations through drug utilization reviews and quality assurance checks. The manager will drive profitability by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and medication therapy management, managing inventory and sales tracking, and aligning department goals with key performance metrics.

This role involves supervising pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff; leading training, coaching, and disciplinary actions; and maintaining security and organization within the pharmacy. The manager will handle customer concerns to foster trust and loyalty, liaise with physicians, and ensure timely completion of department tasks including inventory management and will-call orders.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree, a valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License, and an active Pennsylvania Immunization License.
