Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania

A retail pharmacy operation is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee and enhance their Altoona, PA location. This full-time direct hire role offers a variable schedule with day and afternoon shifts, working 36 hours per week. This position demands leadership, operational oversight, and a dedication to superior patient care within a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster collaboration with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and align pharmacy goals with overall company strategy.
• Oversee prescription accuracy by conducting thorough Drug Utilization Reviews and quality assurance in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Manage the pharmacy department to ensure profitability and growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Collaborate with the pharmacy district manager and staff for inventory control and optimize stock levels to meet customer needs while maximizing profits.
• Align team performance with seven key departmental metrics that measure effectiveness and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing medical-related inquiries and offering healthcare counseling.
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff including training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Uphold security protocols of the pharmacy department and resolve customer complaints to maintain trust and loyalty.
• Communicate with physicians and use reference materials to clarify prescription issues and provide optimal customer care.
• Maintain department cleanliness and orderliness while promoting ongoing staff development to improve performance and reduce turnover.
• Prioritize and complete pharmacy department tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
