An opportunity is available for a full-time Pharmacy Manager in a retail setting located in Altoona, PA. This direct hire role offers a 36-hour workweek with a variable schedule that includes day and afternoon shifts, starting as soon as possible.
The Pharmacy Manager will lead the department to achieve business profitability and growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and medication therapy management. This role requires maintaining a strong collaborative relationship with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and effectively communicate company strategies to pharmacy staff. Accuracy and compliance are essential, as you will oversee prescription review processes in accordance with state and federal regulations. Managing inventory, tracking weekly sales, and aligning department performance with key measurable metrics are also key responsibilities.
Additional duties include supervising pharmacists and support staff, handling customer inquiries and concerns to foster trust, directing training and coaching, and maintaining pharmacy security and cleanliness. The manager will also interact with physicians as needed and focus on continuous staff development to enhance performance and control labor costs.
Preferred qualifications for this role include:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
