A full-time Pharmacy Manager position is available in a retail setting located in Altoona, PA. This direct hire role offers a 36-hour workweek with variable day and afternoon shifts, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong collaboration with the store operations team, driving associate engagement and effectively communicating department and company strategies.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of all prescriptions filled by performing Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance, adhering to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Lead the pharmacy department in building a profitable business by promoting script growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory and work closely with the District Manager to track sales, control stock, and meet customer demand.
  • Align department performance with seven key measurable metrics to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting with medical inquiries and offering healthcare counseling.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, overseeing training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and handle customer issues to build trust and loyalty.
  • Interact with physicians and utilize reference materials to resolve prescription-related issues.
  • Ensure the pharmacy remains clean and organized while prioritizing and completing essential pharmacy department tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D degree.
  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
  • Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
