Pharmacy Manager in Huntington, WV

A hospital in Huntington, WV is seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge to oversee pharmacy operations at a licensed 165-bed facility with a behavioral health specialty. This contract role begins on 8/31/26 and continues until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired.

The pharmacy team supports an average daily census of 130 patients and consists of one full-time pharmacist, four per diem pharmacists, and approximately 2.6 full-time equivalent pharmacy technicians. The pharmacy uses the HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation technologies, with training provided onsite. The Director of Pharmacy will assume both staffing leadership and administrative duties, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include supervision of pharmacy staff, managing medication distribution and inventory, and serving as the pharmacist-in-charge. Coverage hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with on-call duties after shifts and on weekends. The current Director of Pharmacy will provide hands-on training to support a seamless transition. Business casual dress code is expected.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid West Virginia pharmacist license required
