Pharmacy Manager in Huntington, WV

This opportunity invites an experienced pharmacy professional to assume a key leadership role as the Interim Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a hospital specializing in behavioral health. Located in Huntington, WV, this position plays a critical role in overseeing pharmacy operations and ensuring high standards of patient care during the current director's transition to retirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, including staffing and administrative duties as PIC
• Oversee and support a team comprising one full-time pharmacist, multiple per diem pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies within a 165-licensed bed facility
• Collaborate with clinical and support staff to maintain optimal pharmaceutical services in a behavioral health setting
• Utilize and manage automated systems including Omnicell for medication distribution and HCS order entry (training provided)
• Be available for on-call support following weekday shifts and throughout weekends

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in West Virginia (required)
• Prior experience in hospital pharmacy management, ideally with involvement in pharmacy automation systems such as Omnicell
• Strong leadership capabilities and familiarity with behavioral health pharmacy practices
• Ability to independently manage pharmacy technicians and coordinate workflow efficiently

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including on-call rotation during evenings and weekends
