Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Kelseyville, California

An interim Pharmacy Manager is needed to oversee pharmacy operations at a small critical access hospital in rural Northern California. This role supports a 25-bed facility, providing essential pharmacy leadership and clinical services during a transitional period. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing pharmacy staffing and ensuring proper coverage (approximately 90% of duties)
• Performing order verification and medication review
• Supervising pharmacy technicians and supporting their development
• Consulting with physicians and nursing staff regarding drug therapy and clinical issues
• Managing pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
• Handling administrative tasks related to pharmacy operations (around 10% of duties)

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license is required
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills

Schedule:

• Full-time, four 10-hour day shifts per week
