A nationally recognized pediatric hospital seeks a Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead and support its inpatient pharmacy services. This direct hire role is based in Kerman, CA, with an immediate start.

About the Pharmacy: The inpatient pharmacy department provides exceptional pharmaceutical care through evidence-based therapeutic guidelines. A collaborative team of highly trained pharmacists and technicians work closely with providers across Rehab, PICU, NICU, Acute Care, and Oncology units to optimize patient outcomes. The pharmacy department supports various specialty clinics, including Oncology, Hematology, Rheumatology, Pulmonology/CF, Endocrinology, Neurology, and Cardiology, utilizing advanced practice protocols such as antibiotic monitoring, anticoagulation, IV to oral conversions, and renal dosing. State-of-the-art technology is leveraged to ensure patient safety, including pharmacy automation and bedside scanning.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Pharmacy with departmental goal development and daily operations oversight.
• Collaborate with medical and hospital staff to uphold the hospital’s values and mission.
• Manage dispensing, drug consultations, and staffing for ambulatory and IT pharmacists.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, and productivity metrics.
• Oversee pharmacy projects related to IT, automation, bar coding, charge master, data reporting, and operational efficiencies.
• Provide leadership and support for pharmaceutical care implementation and pharmacist performance.
• Participate actively in committees, task forces, professional organizations, and scholarly activities.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required; Master’s in Public Health or Business Administration preferred.
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program preferred.
• Active California Pharmacist License (CA-SBP) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum three (3) years of pediatric pharmacy experience required.
• Five (5) years of demonstrated proficiency preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.

Schedule:

• Primarily day shifts, 5x8-hour shifts; occasional variation based on business needs.
