Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Le Mars, Iowa

A retail pharmacy embedded within a critical access hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure quality patient care. This opportunity involves managing a 340B pharmacy with an average prescription volume of 140 per day. Location: Le Mars, IA

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call duties may be required but are rare

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all pharmacy operations to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with regulations.
• Oversee dispensing processes and maintain the accuracy and safety of medication distribution.
• Collaborate closely with hospital staff to support clinical services.
• Utilize the Pioneer pharmacy computer system effectively to manage prescriptions and inventory.
• Support pharmacy staff and provide guidance in a small but dynamic team setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Retail pharmacy experience is essential.
• Experience with 340B pharmacy programs is highly desirable.
• Current Iowa pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain an Iowa Temporary license.
• Availability for full-time commitment throughout the contract duration.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
