Lead pharmacy operations at a busy retail location as a Pharmacy Manager responsible for ensuring compliance, driving business performance, and delivering excellent patient care. This full-time direct hire role is based in Mifflinburg, PA, offering variable day and afternoon shifts to maintain flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster strong collaboration with the store operations team to engage associates and communicate department and company strategies.
- Oversee prescription accuracy through Drug Utilization Review (DUR) and Final Quality Assurance in compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Manage pharmacy profitability and prescription growth by implementing clinical initiatives such as immunization programs and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Control inventory by tracking weekly sales, ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet demand, and maximizing profits.
- Align team performance with key department metrics to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including counseling on medical-related concerns and resolving customer inquiries and complaints.
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, directing training, coaching, and discipline.
- Ensure pharmacy security protocols are maintained.
- Collaborate with physicians and use reference materials for patient care decisions and prescription issue resolution.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy while promoting continuous employee development to reduce turnover and manage labor costs.
- Prioritize and complete critical department tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call fulfillment in a timely manner.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
