This leadership role involves managing a retail pharmacy department with a focus on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and team development. The position is based in Mifflinburg, PA, offering a direct hire opportunity with a variable schedule featuring 10, 11, and 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster collaboration with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and communicate company and department strategies.
  • Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
  • Lead department profitability and script growth via clinical programs, immunizations, and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy District Manager to manage inventory and optimize product availability and profitability.
  • Align team performance with key department metrics to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, including healthcare counseling and resolving customer issues to build loyalty.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, providing training, coaching, and discipline.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and oversee cleanliness and orderliness of the department.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve prescription-related issues.
  • Oversee staff development, labor cost control, and task prioritization including inventory and cycle counts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
  • Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.

Schedule:

  • Bi-weekly hours: 62.
  • 10-hour shifts (9am – 7pm).
  • 11-hour shifts (9am – 8pm).
  • 12-hour shifts (8am – 8pm or 9am – 9pm).
  • Variable day and afternoon shifts.
