Pharmacy Manager in Lewisburg, PA

An established retail pharmacy seeks an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead and manage daily pharmacy operations at their Mifflinburg, PA location. This direct hire, full-time role offers a dynamic schedule with variable day and afternoon shifts, typically ranging from 9 to 12 hours per shift.

• Mifflinburg, PA

Schedule:

• Bi-weekly hours: 62
• 10-hour shifts typically 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 11-hour shifts typically 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• 12-hour shifts either 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with store operations to drive associate engagement while communicating pharmacy and company strategy to staff.
• Ensure prescription accuracy via Drug Utilization Review and final quality assurance in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Drive department profitability and script growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Manage inventory and ordering in coordination with district management to meet customer demands and maximize profits.
• Oversee performance objectives aligned with key pharmacy department metrics for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Provide outstanding customer service and healthcare counseling.
• Supervise pharmacists, associates, and support staff including training, coaching, and discipline.
• Maintain security standards within the pharmacy department.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints fostering customer trust and loyalty.
• Interface with physicians to resolve prescription-related issues.
• Manage departmental organization, cleanliness, and staff development to improve performance and control labor costs.
• Prioritize tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls ensuring timely completion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
