Retail Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Lewistown, Pennsylvania

A retail pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at their Burnham, PA location. This full-time, direct hire role demands strong leadership skills to oversee pharmacy activities, promote growth, and ensure excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Location:

• Burnham, PA (Retail setting)

Schedule:

• Variable day and afternoon shifts
• 10-hour shifts: typically 9am – 7pm
• 11-hour shifts: typically 9am – 8pm
• 12-hour shifts: either 8am – 8pm or 9am – 9pm
• Bi-weekly hours: 62

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with store operations and pharmacy teams to drive associate engagement and communicate company strategies
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of prescriptions by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, consistent with state and federal regulations
• Manage pharmacy profitability by growing prescriptions through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
• Oversee inventory control and pharmaceutical stock ordering to meet customer demand and maximize efficiency
• Align team performance with key department metrics to improve effectiveness and efficiency
• Provide superior customer service, including healthcare counseling and addressing medical-related inquiries
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline
• Maintain department security and cleanliness, while promoting continuous development to reduce turnover and control labor costs
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to build loyalty and trust
• Interact with physicians and use reference materials to address prescription-related concerns
• Manage daily pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory, and will-call follow-ups

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree required
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License

This opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $59.50 to $71.50 per hour (or higher based on experience).
