An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at a retail pharmacy location in Ogdensburg, NY. This position offers flexibility with either an interim engagement of 3-6 months or a permanent role, providing options for candidates seeking short-term commitment or long-term career growth.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sundays closed
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain registration as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations, keeping the pharmacy in good standing.
- Oversee the daily pharmacy operations including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory management, and third-party administration to meet financial objectives.
- Lead business development initiatives within the store and the local community.
- Manage pharmacy staff performance, training, and adherence to regulatory policies.
- Facilitate patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
- Provide counseling to patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, dosage, interactions, and side effects.
- Participate in quality improvement programs geared toward patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and department environment compliant with legal and company standards.
- Complete required continuing education as per state law.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State pharmacist license.
- Immunization certification with comfort in administering all types of vaccines.
- Previous Pharmacy Manager experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
