A leading retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee operations at a busy location in Ogdensburg, NY. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated pharmacy team and ensure excellent patient care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The role is available on either an interim or permanent basis with a supportive environment for professional growth.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
Key Responsibilities:
- Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
- Manage all pharmacy operations, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and third-party administration to meet financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
- Lead and develop pharmacy support staff through training, performance management, and accountability.
- Participate in business development and patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
- Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, dosages, interactions, and side effects.
- Oversee continuous quality improvement to enhance patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
- Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid New York State Pharmacy License
- Immunization Certification and confident administering all vaccines (required)
- Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills focused on patient care and operational excellence
