We are seeking an experienced Interim Pharmacy Operations Manager to support a large, multi-campus inpatient hospital system in South Central California.
Location: South Central, CA (2-campus systems)
Setting:
Inpatient hospital pharmacy operations
Average daily census: 120–150 patients across both campuses
Assignment Timeline
Start: ASAP (flexible start date)
Duration: Approximately 3–6 months
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy
Role Overview
The Interim Pharmacy Operations Manager will serve as the right hand to the Director of Pharmacy, providing daily operational leadership across both hospital campuses. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent pharmacy operations, supporting staff management, and maintaining workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily inpatient pharmacy operations across two campuses
* Manage staffing schedules and daily coverage needs
* Address operational and workflow issues as they arise
* Support efficiency and continuity of pharmacy services
* Serve as a key operational liaison between staff and leadership

Ideal Candidate
* Strong inpatient hospital pharmacy leadership experience
* Experience managing or supervising pharmacy operations in a hospital setting
* Ability to oversee multiple sites or campuses
* Strong operational and problem-solving skills
* Able to step in quickly and stabilize day-to-day operations
