Pharmacy Manager in Madera, CA

This leadership role involves assisting the Director of Pharmacy in developing, implementing, and overseeing departmental goals and daily operations within a hospital pharmacy setting. The role requires collaboration with medical and hospital staff to uphold the organization's values while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The position includes responsibilities for dispensing medications, providing drug consultations, and managing pharmacy staff across various specialties, including ambulatory and IT pharmacists.

Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, and productivity metrics, as well as maintaining professional growth through participation in pharmacy-related committees, task forces, and scholarly activities. The incumbent will also oversee pharmacy-related projects such as Information Technology initiatives, Pharmacy Automation, Bedside Scanning, Bar Coding, Charge Master management, data collection, reporting, and operational efficiencies. This role supports the implementation and provision of pharmaceutical care through effective pharmacist oversight.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (required)
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, or equivalent (preferred)
• Completion of an ASHP Accredited Residency Program (preferred)
• Registered Pharmacist license with the California State Board of Pharmacy (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire (required)
• Minimum of three years’ related pediatric experience (required)
• At least five years demonstrating proficiency in required pharmacy skills and knowledge (preferred)
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records system EPIC
• Active California pharmacist license in-hand

Schedule:

• Primarily day shift, working five 8-hour shifts weekly; hours may vary based on business needs
