Position Details

• Direct Hire
• Start: ASAP
• Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, primarily days
• Competitive weekly pay

What You'll Do

• Assist the Director of Pharmacy with departmental goals and daily operations
• Lead and support pharmacists, technicians, ambulatory, and IT pharmacy staff
• Oversee medication dispensing and provide drug information and consultation
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Support Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, and productivity initiatives
• Oversee pharmacy technology, automation, bedside scanning, bar coding, and data reporting
• Support the delivery and implementation of pharmaceutical care
• Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary hospital teams

Pharmacy Environment

• Inpatient pediatric hospital pharmacy
• Clinical services across PICU, NICU, Acute Care, Oncology, Rehab, and Emergency
• Advanced pharmacy protocols including antibiotic monitoring, anticoagulation, renal dosing, and IV-to-oral conversion
• Parenteral nutrition and investigational drug services
• Specialty clinic support including Oncology, Hematology, Rheumatology, Pulmonology/CF, Endocrinology, Neurology, and Cardiology
• EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
• Active California Pharmacist (RPh) license required
• Minimum 3 years of pediatric pharmacy experience required
• Minimum 5 years of experience preferred
• ASHP-accredited residency preferred
• Master's degree in public health, business administration, or equivalent preferred
• BLS certification through AHA required within 30 days of hire
• Must have California pharmacist license in hand
