An established retail pharmacy location seeks a full-time Pharmacy Manager to lead operations in Mifflinburg, PA. This direct hire role requires oversight of day-to-day pharmacy activities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering strong collaboration with the store operations team to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with store leadership and pharmacy associates, communicating company strategies and driving staff engagement.
- Ensure prescription accuracy and appropriateness by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and final quality checks in accordance with Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Manage departmental profitability by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) to enhance prescription growth.
- Collaborate with the District Manager and pharmacy staff for inventory control and stock ordering to meet customer demands.
- Align department objectives with key performance metrics to optimize effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Deliver exemplary customer service by addressing medical inquiries, resolving complaints, and providing healthcare counseling.
- Supervise pharmacist and pharmacy associate activities, including training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Oversee pharmacy security protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Interface with healthcare providers for prescription clarifications and other related issues.
- Prioritize and complete pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and handling will-call prescriptions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
- Proven leadership skills in a retail pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
