This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Manager position located in Mifflinburg, PA, within a retail pharmacy setting. This direct hire role offers bi-weekly hours totaling 62, with variable shifts including 10, 11, and 12-hour schedules generally ranging between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM. The position is available to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a collaborative partnership with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and effectively communicate pharmacy department and company strategies.
  • Ensure prescription accuracy in compliance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations through thorough Drug Utilization Review and final quality assurance.
  • Manage the pharmacy department with a focus on profitability and script growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and staff to control inventory, track weekly sales, and order pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demands.
  • Align departmental performance objectives with key measurable metrics to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting with medication-related inquiries and healthcare counseling.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns to build trust and loyalty.
  • Communicate with physicians and utilize reference materials to resolve prescription issues.
  • Oversee departmental cleanliness, organization, and ongoing staff development to improve performance, reduce turnover, and control labor costs.
  • Prioritize and manage daily pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Current pharmacist license in Pennsylvania
  • Current Pennsylvania immunization certification
