Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative relationship with the store operations team, driving associate engagement and clearly communicating department and company strategies.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all prescriptions, adhering to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
- Manage the pharmacy to build profitability and script growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Collaborate with the District Manager and pharmacy staff to control inventory, track sales, and order pharmaceutical stock as needed to meet demand and maximize profits.
- Align department performance with seven key metrics for effectiveness and efficiency.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, assist customers with medical-related inquiries, and provide healthcare counseling.
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline.
- Maintain pharmacy security and address customer questions and complaints to foster trust and loyalty.
- Engage with physicians to resolve prescription issues and maintain up-to-date knowledge.
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Prioritize and ensure timely completion of departmental tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
