Pharmacy Manager in Newbury Park, CA

An experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager is needed to oversee daily pharmacy functions in a busy inpatient hospital setting. This role serves as the right hand to the Director of Pharmacy (DOP), ensuring smooth and efficient pharmacy operations aligned with organizational standards.

Located in a 300-bed regional medical center, this position requires strong leadership skills and hands-on involvement with pharmacy staff scheduling and problem resolution throughout the day. The pharmacy uses Cerner technology, so familiarity with this system is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Pharmacy to manage daily pharmacy activities and operational workflows
• Develop and maintain employee schedules to meet staffing needs and regulatory compliance
• Address and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain continuous, high-quality pharmacy services
• Support initiatives for staff training, performance management, and process improvements
• Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards within the inpatient pharmacy setting

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in pharmacy management, preferably within hospital or inpatient environments
• Strong operational leadership and team-building abilities
• Knowledge of pharmacy systems, preferably Cerner
