Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Ogdensburg, New Jersey

This leadership role in pharmacy management calls for a licensed pharmacist to oversee operations at a busy retail pharmacy in Ogdensburg, NY. The position offers either an interim or permanent appointment with a Monday through Saturday schedule, including weekend hours on Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
• Ensure the pharmacy remains compliant with federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
• Manage all pharmacy department operations to meet financial targets, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration.
• Lead business development efforts within the store and surrounding community.
• Direct pharmacy support personnel, including performance management and training.
• Oversee and enforce regulatory and company policy compliance among staff.
• Promote patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and therapy optimization.
• Maintain quality improvement initiatives to safeguard patient safety.
• Uphold a clean and organized work environment.
• Complete required continuing education as prescribed by state law.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current New York State pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification with confidence in administering all vaccines.
• Experience in pharmacy management is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage pharmacy operations successfully.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays
