An established pharmacy in Ogdensburg, NY, is seeking a Pharmacy Manager for an interim assignment of 3-6 months, with the potential for a permanent role. This position offers an opportunity to lead pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while promoting exceptional patient care and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy
- Maintain pharmacy compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies
- Oversee all pharmacy department operations including budget management, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and third-party administration
- Lead and train pharmacy support staff, ensuring performance accountability and completion of all required training
- Participate in business development initiatives within the store and the local community
- Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs
- Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, dosage, interactions, and side effects
- Promote patient safety through continuous quality improvement programs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Complete state-required continuing education and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in New York State
- Immunization Certification and comfortable administering all vaccines (required)
- Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Closed Sundays
