Pharmacy Manager - Ogdensburg, NY

An established retail pharmacy in Ogdensburg, NY is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure excellent patient care. This role offers flexibility with either an interim assignment of 3-6 months or a permanent position, designed to meet varying candidate preferences. The schedule includes Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 3 PM, with Sundays off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Manage pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Lead financial management activities including budget control, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration to maintain department profitability.
• Develop business through community and in-store engagement.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including performance evaluations, training, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company policies.
• Facilitate all required training and promote patient-centered services like immunization, medication therapy management, and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, side effects, interactions, and monitor patient progress.
• Promote quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment compliant with legal and company standards.
• Complete continuing education as mandated by state law.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State pharmacy license.
• Immunization certification with confidence in administering all vaccines.
• Recent experience in a Pharmacy Manager role preferred.
