Pharmacy Manager in Ogdensburg, NY

A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available in Ogdensburg, NY, ideal for an experienced Pharmacy Manager seeking a direct hire role. This position offers either an interim or permanent engagement with a schedule designed to provide work-life balance: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with Sundays off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist-in-charge, registered with the state board of pharmacy.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations and policies.
• Oversee the entire pharmacy operation, including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management to meet financial goals.
• Engage in business development efforts within the store and local community.
• Manage pharmacy support personnel, including performance evaluations and training.
• Guide pharmacy associates to adhere to regulatory and company standards, ensuring all required training is completed.
• Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medications, dosages, interactions, side effects, and monitor patient progress to optimize therapy.
• Maintain and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for patient safety.
• Ensure workspace cleanliness and organization in compliance with legal and company standards.
• Complete continuing education as required by state law.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Pharmacy License.
• Immunization Certification, with comfort and experience administering all vaccines.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred.
