Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Oneonta, New York

Step into a leadership role overseeing the comprehensive operations of a busy pharmacy in Oneonta, NY. This pharmacist manager position offers both interim and permanent opportunities to lead a team committed to exceptional patient care and regulatory compliance.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Ensure the pharmacy complies with federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations alongside company policies.
• Manage pharmacy finances, including budget development, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory control to maximize profitability.
• Lead and evaluate pharmacy support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance reviews.
• Promote pharmacy services within the store and local community to support business growth.
• Coordinate and ensure completion of required company training for all pharmacy staff.
• Deliver patient-centered services, including immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication therapies, dosage, interactions, and side effects, while monitoring compliance and therapeutic outcomes.
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives to maintain patient safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area and pharmacy environment.
• Complete ongoing continuing education as mandated by state law.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active New York pharmacist license required.
• Immunization certification with confidence in administering all vaccines mandatory.
• Recent experience managing a pharmacy team is preferred.
