Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Oneonta, New York

An established retail pharmacy operation in Oneonta, NY is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. This role offers an opportunity for either an interim or permanent engagement.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
• Maintain the pharmacy’s compliance with federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations, as well as company policies.
• Oversee pharmacy operations to meet financial goals, including budget management, payroll, third-party administration, staffing, and inventory control.
• Lead business development initiatives within the store and the local community.
• Manage pharmacy support staff, including performance evaluations and training oversight.
• Ensure all pharmacy associates complete required company training and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Participate in patient-centered services including immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Provide counseling to patients and medical providers on medication use, potential interactions, side effects, and therapy optimization.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement efforts to promote patient safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with company and legal standards.
• Complete continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in New York State (NY License required)
• Immunization Certification with comfort administering all vaccines (required)
• Recent experience in a pharmacy management role preferred
